Welcome to Soul Sounds Ent.

'Live Entertainment with a Purpose'

OUR MISSION

  • Soul Sounds  Ent.’s mission is two-fold. It is first to provide quality live entertainment to a broad audience throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.
  •  Secondly,  we desire to provide  education through the arts to inner city children.
  • This is carried out by:

  1. Booking talented  live performers and maintaining positive relationships with said performers.
  2. Using the relationship between Soul Sounds Ent. and  well established performing arts facilities to conduct workshops including but not limited to  instrument instruction and poetry formulating classes.

Target Audience

The Soul Sounds Ent. target audience consist  of individuals ranging in age from 25-45 and with an income range of 40k-75k.

The audience is diverse in ethnicity with 49% of our audience being of African descent, 35% of Caucasian descent, and the remaining audience members being Latino and other ethnic groups.

OUR GOALS

  1. To provide talented up and coming artists, as well as established artists the opportunity to perform on various stages in an effort to showcase their talents to a broader audience.
  2. To supplement the lack of artistic instruction for children living in the inner city.  A portion of the Soul Sounds Ent. event proceeds could benefit the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts Education Department.

Background

Soul Sounds Ent. was  formulated after  (5) five years of  providing the tri-state area with  live entertainment in the form spoken word and neosoul through an event called SpeakToMe.

Soul Sounds Ent. debuted in Bel Air, MD earlier this year to a capacity crowd. While Soul Sounds Ent. has the ability to be a traveling entity, we often have events in the  Philadelphia area.

Soul Sounds Ent. has the privilege of working with some of the top spoken word and neosoul artists

Soul Sounds Ent is aspiring to develop a multi- city tour with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts Education Department.

Testimonials

The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts, Philadelphia, PA

“Jamal Mack has had the longest running  spokenword and neosoul event at our venue. He has proven to be professional, and proficient. He is honest in his dealings and the talent of the artists he brings to the city is unmatchable. I look forward to working with Mr. Mack in the future.”

Events By Lorraine Bailey-Carter, Bel Air, MD

Jamal Mack & “Soul Sounds”  was introduced to me in June, 2009. I introduced him and his production to Harford County, MD in July, 2009. Please understand that I did not know what an impact the style of entertainment he represented would have on the residents of this predominately Caucasian community. I could only hope that it would be well-received and that the crowd would support our efforts and not receive us negatively.

Jamal Mack was very instrumental in the promotion of the event. He took charge with the graphic design of the promotion and hit the airwaves hard through social media promotion in his network from Philly down to Southern Maryland. Through his assistance I was able to pack the house that regularly has a crowd of 25+ to 110 and counting paying patrons! What a memorable evening; what a hit! Professional, energy, charismatic, connected, committed, team-player, going that extra mile to make the show a hit, calming spirit, class act— I could go on. Jamal, along with his cast of players are that and so much more. Any time I get the opportunity to have them as a part of one of my events I welcome them.
